To create knowledge of the culture, customs, and proper protocols of the Mi’kmaq people through these teachings of the traditional ritual practice of Mi’kmaq elders. To enhance all groups of non-aboriginal people, to gain experience of customs in building better relationships in participating in rituals when protocols are followed, and to unite all diverse groups. These teachings set a stepping stone to learning and understanding for all Aboriginal Nations. What appeared to be similar acts of rituals are different ways of performing the rituals by other nations to prevent further misconceptions of true cultural awareness, which have been stolen or misinformed by false teachers of culture.
The foundation of the Mi’kmaq culture has been taught through hands-on and visual learning experience practices through the elders and knowledge keepers. By sealing the erosions of culture, the youths of the future must endure both worlds to maintain and successfully find balance in both worlds.
